A new fleet of four MSC Cruises’ ultra-luxury ships will feature ‘one of the largest suites in the world in terms of space’, says the cruise line’s UK & Ireland MD Antonio Paradiso.

As it was announced on MSC Bellissima that a new brand will be created for the 1,000-passenger ships, due to be delivered in 2023, 2024 and two in 2026, Mr Paradiso told me: ‘There will be more announcements in the next two to three weeks. I’m one of the keynote speakers at the Abta Luxury Travel  Conference so it’s the first time I’m representing an ultra-luxury brand.

‘We see a huge opportunity in the ultra-luxury market. We will offer something that you may not have seen before. We have brought in all the MSC knowledge – 300 years of seafaring history – into that.

‘Of course, it’s a completely different offering so the ships will be much smaller, but we’re focusing more on the experience side rather than the hardware. You will definitely see one of the largest suites in the world in terms of space. We want to give more space and more features to our beautiful customers.

‘[MSC Cruises executive chairman] Pierfrancesco Vago is particularly in love with this project. It’s something different, something new and we’re really excited.

‘It’s also a new experience for me because I will be engaging with a completely different client and the marketing is different from what I’m doing today with a mainstream cruise line.’
